Improving!
Not too shabby for student project number three. I saddle stitched this whole clutch by hand and my stitches are even and stitch lines are almost perfectly straight. I made a few mistakes in my choice of materials and trimming the edges. But, overall, I think I’m really getting the hang of this. And I really dig doing it!
I also did a great job, if I do say so myself, custom matching the light blue edge paint to the color of the lambskin I used for the interior pocket lining. Applying edge paint is the final step and may be my new very favorite step in the bag making process. It's fussy and meticulous, but if you give it the amount of attention it deserves, the final result is so smooth and satisfying. I think I'll have to write a blog post about it to show you what I'm talking about.
I can’t wait to start my next project!
