Description

Harmony brings together colors that seem to sing with one another.

Textured forms move diagonally across the white canvas, beginning in blue-green and gradually warming into green and yellow. They become smaller as they rise, giving the composition the feeling of a phrase resolving one note at a time.

Each form was cut from invasive lionfish leather, painted by hand, and wet-molded into a shallow curve. The leather’s natural scale pattern gives every shape its own character. Edges of 24-karat gold catch the light, while the raised surfaces cast delicate shadows that shift as you move through the room.

No two forms are identical, but each belongs to the same rhythm. The pleasure of Harmony comes from seeing difference settle into balance without becoming perfectly uniform.

This work is part of Radiant Bliss, a series exploring joy through color, texture, movement, and light.

The leather comes from invasive lionfish removed from Caribbean reefs. Transforming that material into collectible art helps create continued demand for removal and allows an ecological threat to become part of something balanced and lasting.
